We’d love it if you could make it.
And remember: bring clean underwear!

Love Your Local Heroes: Onderdanen
August 11, 2006
We just received an email from Ilke Turpijn plugging a new interesting and independent project she worked on. We’ve had the pleasure of working with her in the past on several projects. Apart from being a talented individual, she’s also ape-shit bonkers, which is part of her charms aswell.
Anywho, we’ve taken a five minute break from our pre-production work to pay this forward:
go check out the promotional site for Onderdanen. There’s a teaser-trailer there aswell which gives you a general idea on what it’s about. Apparently the release date is set for December, so mark those agenda’s, or don’t, but whatever you do, just love your local heroes.
Take care and eat your vegetables,
Sincerly,
Dolores, Daily
The Time Of Mourning Has A Date
August 2, 2006Long time no see, yes of course, we miss all of you just as much. The last couple of months have been packed with screenplay writing, location hunting, lots and lots of sweating in this heatwave, making phonecalls, drinking coffee, doing e-mails, lack of sleep, myspace ruins our lives, doing auditions etc etc. While phoning around for permission for several very nifty, cinematographic locations, it has come to our attention that the world is gonna keep on looking uglier. Beautiful old buildings are being torn down, to make room for higher classed condo buildings, atomic era swimmingpools will be replaced by happy-wild-ride-slides and kids these days are ape-shit crazy.
We just got off the phone with a company that has bought the abandoned swimmingpool that sits in the city centre of Leuven, near the Hogeschoolplein. They start the slow killing next week. Luckily, kind souls like Wereldkeuken (by the way big it up for this fella, since he has been so kind as to help us look for an abandoned pool) has eternalized this building on the sensitive photographic plate. Check out his flickr set. It’s nice.
More later perhaps, but now, we need some more coffee and get our asses back in gear.
With love,
Dolores, Daily
Just randomness

Really nothing coherent this time around. Just liked to share some things with you lot.
First off: Cameron Crowe is a tool and we very much disliked Elisabethtown. More on that in a later post.
Secondly, some links we found intristink:
* Addicted to Lost, they sure know how to make their ads.
* The Tangent
* Keith Richards knocking out a fan w/ his guitar.
* Best written Blogspot we’ve encountered on the internet ever.
* “I want you to sing as hard as you can!” Yup hell froze over and some Indian made Fight Club: The Musical.
* A little something to make The Noctos sleep well at night right here.
* And finally, what’s better than Jack Black? Yes indeed, Jack Black in a Mexican wrestling mask. Nacho Libre!
That is all, class in recess.
[add on] Jack Black reminded me of “the greatest pilot you’ll never see” reminded me of Rob Schrab, who I adored back in the good ol’ comic book days, reminded me he’s also in the movies reminded me to check imdb and yes he’s got a thing coming up with a star-cast and some nifty nice 3d work. Check the trailer right here.
[update] For Noctos: Death Cab For Cutie – Crooked Teeth (wink to Peter Gabriel’s Sledge Hammer by The Bros. Quay) & Postal Service – We will become silhouettes (by Jared “Napoleon Dynamite” Hess who’s also in the director’s and writing chair together with his brother for the Nacho Libre film, quoted above)
It really did
